Fondation Lionel-Groulx

This part-time position involves the development and maintenance of a Drupal platform in collaboration with Lima Charlie, which handles hosting and back-end development.

The first phase involved migrating hundreds of content pages published with the SPIP system between 2010 and 2021, then adapting this content to a radically different design developed by the creative agency Nouvelle Administration.

The second phase involved importing 5,000 titles from the Lionel-Groulx Research Centre library and Lionel Groulx’s private library, using an old database exported in XML format. The entire catalogue is now accessible to the general public for research purposes. Drupal’s Bibliography & Citation module makes it possible to integrate other types of references, such as websites dedicated to Quebec history, Wikipedia articles enhanced by the Foundation, and a corpus of university theses and dissertations. This provides a lighter and less costly alternative to conventional library management software.

Finally, we made improvements to the site’s navigation and readability without deviating from the original visual identity.

In terms of discoverability, our efforts focused particularly on SEO copywriting and the integration of Schema.org structured data to maintain the site’s search visibility in a rapidly changing search landscape, where results are increasingly generated by AI.

Running in parallel since 2025, another project involved importing two decades of personal and financial information into Zeffy. Donations to the Foundation are now processed through a Zeffy form embedded in the website, then integrated with the segmentation, mailing and analytics tools of this CRM developed in Montreal.
